Below is an account of the communications, coordination, and direction from the President-elect to the Proud Boys, and how the Proud Boys responded to the communications. This also shows how they prepared for what would be an attempt at overthrowing the government of the United States of America. The planned insurrection on January 6, 2021, included other targets as part of their documented insurrection procedures. The focus was understood and stated as stopping the constitutional process occurring with a joint session of Congress and the Vice President in attendance within the United States Capitol. The information below has satisfied the burden of proof to gain criminal convictions for seditious conspiracy. Seditious conspiracy is a far more serious crime than insurrection, with similar elements, that carries a much harsher sentence because of its severity. Those convicted of seditious conspiracy could not also be prosecuted for insurrection because of the constitutional prohibition on double jeopardy.
