In case you missed it, below are the results of the a standardized assessment completed covering law enforcement agencies throughout the United States of America. See below what quality of service the Anson County public funds were able to secure by the Anson County Sheriff’s Office. The appearance of potentially community harassing revenue generating arrests making up 50% of all arrests. Is this benefiting the community, or is it tarnishing records and preventing employment, advancement, educational opportunities, or many other doors of life from being opened?

This looks a lot like revenue generating policing that is likely based on race, given the statistics. Is this type of enforcement benefitting the county immediately by stopping real crimes that may harm others, or is this evidence of harassment towards half of the county’s population in a revenue generating scheme that damages futures?

Per capita, they have more killings by police than 94% of US Sheriff Departments!

Do you believe that adequately accounts for the over $4,000,000 ($4,077,795.00) that is budgeted for only the “Sheriff?” Are you getting what is expected? Is this a benefit or detriment to the county? It appears that 50% of those arrested are likely supplementing the county’s tax receipts with fines and court costs from low-level, nonviolent crimes. Nickel and diming the community, then surprised when those same people aren’t able to land a decent job.
